Premise

Karoshi: The Perfect Shell is a narrative psychological horror game that explores the subconscious mind of a high school girl named Nara, whose soul has been shattered by social expectations and the fear of failure. Through a series of uniquely metaphorical minigames and visual exploration, players are invited to delve into Nara’s suffering to help her rediscover her lost self.

Theme Implementation

While 'After The End' often evokes visions of a literal apocalypse, Karoshi: The Perfect Shell explores a quieter, internal end. The catastrophic moment a mind breaks under the weight of failure.

When Nara fails her dream university entrance exam, her entire world crumbles in an instant. The game's visual landscape descends into a distorting subconscious nightmare, a physical manifestation of continuous self-burnout. Here, 'After The End' becomes a story about reaching absolute rock bottom, and the fragile path toward reclaiming oneself when all hope feels gone.
